Since I don't have much luck with roses, I decided on pansies & violas!  Taking a little break from sewing and trying something I spotted on Pinterest.  Flower pot gardening!

While out last evening to get a few necessities, I couldn't resist putting these lovely pansies & violas in my shopping cart!  These flowers are so easy to grow, something great for me, since I sometimes forget to water!

The pansies are in a vintage "McCoy Pottery" ceramic flower pot made in the USA.  At one time, all of the flowers ordered from a florist came in containers of this type.

The violas are in a vintage gravy boat made by "Homer Laughlin" his "Vintage Rose" pattern also made in the USA.

I love primitives, but I am also a collector of "vintage" things as well.  I have many of these beautiful containers in my collection!  So many people throw these containers in the trash nowadays.  Thought I would add my flowers to these lovely pieces!  Wouldn't they be a great gift for someone special!
